filmmakers shit on agatha christie's favorite of her novels. crappy predictable ruining of the story that completely disrespects the source material and renders the clever title impotent. it fits with the times ('45) but should never have been made if the studio wasn't going to do it right. halfway through i thought, 'uh oh. why are those two characters getting so familiar with each other?' for the next 45 minutes i hoped against hope that it wasn't headed in the direction it inevitably ended in anyway. boo.
