silver - when a violently-orphaned karate champ returns to japan from working for the US CIA, she is recruited into the 'secret service' assassination organization that uses wacky women's wrestling as a cover to kill a dominatrix that has a lot of dirt on a lot of prominent people. miike certainly isn't hurting for new ideas for movies. this one isn't as TFN or hyper-violent as some of his other stuff but it's fun nonetheless.
28 weeks - the american military has become the guardian of the slowly repopulating british empire as the 'rage' virus returns via a carrier with one brown eye and one blue eye. this did not hold up to a second viewing. it was much more exciting the first time around on the big screen. this time i couldn't stop thinking about how unimpressive it was (with a few exceptions). it's definitely worth a single viewing but beyond that, you're on your own.
