an overzealous mother of a child with autism organizes a musical for other children similarly afflicted. this movie really, REALLY annoyed rachel and i can see why. there are uncontested erroneous declarations by unqualified mothers about the causes of and cures for autism. there was even some super-BS 'assisted writing' that was clearly the work of a charlatan that was presented as a breakthrough. that aside, it was interesting and the kids were great. too bad it featured the parents so heavily. i'd rather not watch what amounts to a nasty reality show when i'm expecting an "inpiring" and warm-hearted film.
