love - a samurai is blinded in the line of (poison tasting) service and he seeks blind vengeance when his wife screws another samurai to get him his pension. good but slow. rachel said that she wouldn't have minded that it was boring if it had been more beautifully shot.
boy - guy picks up big-haired lady at bar only to be drugged, tortured and killed. well, this wasn't good but there were a couple of notable things about it. it was shot very competently for the obviously non-existent budget and it happens to be 'torture porn' that came well before hostel, saw, etc. so...it's got that going for it.
