when the cat's away, the mouse will play and then feel bad about it at the end. this movie has some really funny stuff in it. and monroe is good but she always seems like such a sad character in all of her movies. i just don't like the 'men are driven to cheat' motif of a lot of these old movies. i find dishonest/philandering characters despicable, so it makes it hard for me to enjoy the story. 6/10
