return - fairuza balk plays a post-oz, schizophrenic dorothy who is sent to a nuthouse to get electroshock therapy but escapes (or does she?), then falls in a river and doesn't drown (or doesn't she?), and ends up back in a completely f'ed up oz (even more so than the original.) this is really disturbing. it seems like a horror movie for the most part. it's definitely creepier than the first one. is it good? well, it's not great but it's not bad either.
insane - fat ethel is home from the nuthouse to live with her grandmother who quickly becomes a corpse at her hands along with several other characters. i read about this movie on a couple of top horror movie lists. it's not good but it could have been worse. it looks like there was literally no budget. the blood looks like red paint, the bludgeoning is done very slowly, and it's lit like a walgreens. i certainly wouldn't have put it on a list - not even an 'alternative horror' list.
