first off, i hurt my back very badly and was laid up all day. hence the 5 movies. how did i hurt it? i sneezed.
die hard was a ridiculously over-the-top actioner. exactly what i expected. so - pretty fun.
deuce was also exactly what i expected. my back hurt the worst when i laughed so i picked something unfunny from ondemand. i only laughed once. and it was just a chuckle.
robinsons was actually really good. if wes anderson wrote pixar movies, i imagine they'd turn out like this. yeah, there's some silliness and some fantastic stuff going on, but the movie is pretty sad overall. i got choked up/cried a couple of times. maybe it was all the midol i was on.
futurama was okay. it probably would have been golden if it was just 45 minutes long. not that the other 45 minutes sucked...it just could have been more rapid-fire with the yuks.
astronaut was like if a really creative/talented film grad student made a sci-fi film with zero budget. i liked it quite a bit and would readily recommend it to anyone who could appreciate that sort of thing.
