porky's 2 is pretty genius. i remember kevin regas telling some of the scenes when i was a kid, but i didn't believe him. not that it would be too fantastic for men to be shaved bald and sent naked into a crowd of people. it was just that kevin was a liar. this porky was not only full of comical gags but had a pretty strong (and overt) social message.
samurai fiction was pretty damn cool. i can't think of a black and white samurai movie that i've seen that i didn't like. i was worried that this would break that streak since it was billed as a 'samurai movie for the mtv generation'. i certainly wouldn't call it that - unless i was trying to sucker people into seeing a b&w movie. it's a solid story with some great action and it's surprisingly not very violent. well, it's not very graphic at least.
