i expected kissed to be shocking and creepy. it certainly had its creepy edge, but it wasn't really shocking. in fact, i can't imagine a more sympathetic necrophiliac character. despite the somewhat foreseeable ending, this was actually a very good, well-paced creepy love story.
the dave walter blurb for jeux d'enfants (love me if you dare) recommended it if you thought 'amelie wasn't sociopathic enough'. that's about right. it's a very good movie with a frustrating and complex love story. though not as complex a love story as kissed was...
