gran - really grouchy hold-out in a changed michigan neighborhood makes a reluctant connection with his hmong neighbors. clint eastwood is great in this. his best lines are simply grunts and growls. i really like the eastwood movies that i've seen but for some reason (angelina jolie) i don't really care to see 'the changeling.' this pic has some pretty crappy acting by everyone but clint though. still, it's well worth seeing. 8.5/10
anguish - the midget woman from 'poltergeist' uses spirals, snails, a metronome, hypnosis and a mental connection to her son to make him do her murderous bidding and then the movie gets weird from there. i had a longer more detailed plot outline but i scrapped it for this more ambiguous one. i recommend seeing this movies without learning anything about it. if you don't know about it when you see it the more 'what the hell' it will be. way, way better than i expected it to be. i can't believe i hadn't heard of it before. 8.5/10
