downfall - hitler says that he will kill himself rather than leave berlin as the allied forces advance and then (spoiler) he kills himself. that one line plot is pretty much how i felt about the movie. it had no story arc at all. even as a historical document, it had nothing to offer really. it was very well acted though. 6
pederast is hated by every other inmate in lockup and is treated poorly by everyone but the one guy who urges the others not to become the animals society has made them out to be. very play-like. it may be based on a play. i seem to remember hearing/reading that but i can't be bothered to look it up now. not bad but some dialogue is very contrived. (as is often the case with theatrical monologues.) 5
